About Thalia Field
Thalia Field is the author of three critically acclaimed collections of fiction, poetry, and essay—all of them highly hybrid in nature: Point and Line, Incarnate: Story Material, and most recently ULULU: Clown Shrapnel, a book-length essay-in-performance. A regular contributor to Avec, Fence, How2, Chain, Theater, Ploughshares, and Conjunctions, Field has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant for her opera “The Pompeii Exhibit” and has staged multimedia dance collaborations at Naropa, Green Street Studios, and St Mark’s Church in New York. She is currently working on an interactive DVD entitled Inside the Light and a novel-length essay on the history of experimentation in modern art and science entitled Experimental Animals. She teaches in the graduate Literary Arts program at Brown University.
