David Hamilton
David Hamilton is the long-time editor of the highly respected quarterly The Iowa Review. He’s also the author of a memoir, Deep River: A Memoir of a Missouri Farm, a collection of critical essays, Textualities: Essays on Poetry in the United States, two collections of poetry, Ossabaw and The Least Hinge, and the editor of Hard Choices. A contributor to such journals as The Gettysburg Review, Ploughshares, Michigan Quarterly Review, and The Missouri Review, Hamilton is Professor of English at the University of Iowa where he teaches courses on Chaucer, Montaigne, and the history of the essay, and where he’s currently acting director of the graduate Nonfiction Writing Program.
